Welcome to Miss Arola’s 3rd Grade Web Page!!! |
| Hi! My name is Ms. Arola, and I am so excited to finally have our class web page up. This is my second year here at Calabasas teaching 3rd grade. I earned my California Teaching Credential at Chico State University. I grew up here in Watsonville and it feels great to be home again and near the ocean. I enjoy running, playing soccer, going to the beach, reading, and spending time with my family and friends. I LOVE to travel and some of my favorite places have been Costa Rica, Cozumel, and Belize. My favorite season is Spring and my favorite food is Chinese food. Thanks for visiting our class web site! |

| We are learning a lot of wonderful things this year in third grade! We are all becoming experts at math, reading, and writing! We all need to remember to eat a healthy breakfast, get a good night sleep, and arrive to school on time. We need to be practicing our multiplication facts and spelling words every night. Practice makes perfect!
Also, parents when you read with your child ask them questions about what they have read. This will support their reading comprehension. Some questions you can ask are: 1. What was your favorite part of the story? 2. What was the problem and how was the problem solved? 3. Who was your favorite character? 4. If you could change the story’s ending what would you have happen? 5. What is the story’s genre? 6. Who do you know in your own life who would like this story? How are you going to tell them about this great book? |
| Thank you to all the parents for your support at home. We all appreciate all that you do. |
